Noise & Vibration
Measurement, analysis and evaluation of onboard ship noise and vibration level are carried out for the comfort of seafarers as per the requirements of IMO resolutions, ISO standards and class requirements during sea trials.
Safety Audits & Risk Assessment
Ports and terminals are assessed against the groups of marine terminal standards based upon the OCIMF baseline criterion such as management & organisation, port operation, terminal layout & physical considerations, ship to shore interface, cargo transfer, safety, health & fire protection, environmental protection, emergency preparedness, maintenance and operations at buoy moorings.
Noise Prediction Analysis
The purpose is to determine the noise levels to be expected in all relevant areas of the ship at the design stage. If excessive noise levels are predicted based on noise prediction analysis, decisions can be made on the necessary noise reducing measures.
Energy Audit for Ships
The ship energy audit is developed to assess the performance of the engines and consumers onboard in order to identify a potential for fuel/energy saving. It gives a comparison of onboard machines including engine performance evaluation: – present and test bed trial and sea trial data. Measures can then be advised to improve the engines’ performance.
Condition Assessment Programme
Hull CAP carried out on the basis of assessment of structural condition of Hull at Dry dock and afloat through detailed visual Surveys, Extensive thickness Measurement, longitudinal strength and buckling Strength calculation, fatigue strength calculation.
Machinery & Cargo System CAP are carried out on the basis of assessment of Machinery Visual Inspection, Functional testing, Analysis of Lube oil, Vibration measurement during voyage, Insulation resistance measurement, thermographic Analysis etc.
Thermographic Analysis
Infrared Thermography Analysis allows instant scan of the structural integrity of the vessel and its installations. It helps in identifying problems that are invisible and difficult to detect in areas such as electrical, electronics, propulsion, power generations, boilers, fuel systems, various pipings , thus enables proactive maintenance plans that will avoid catastrophic failures and huge maintenance cost.
Power & Torque Measurement
A set up of mounted strain gauges on rotating shaft along with wireless signal transmission device gives strain, torque and power. Power and torque measurement provides you with precise information on propeller efficiency in relation to the energy consumed. The ship’s management can decide to maintain or increase the speed while saving significant amounts of fuel, reducing CO2 and NOX output levels.
It measures torque and power transferred from the main engines to the propellers. Comparison between power output and fuel consumption gives valuable information necessary to avoid over-stressing the engine.
Load & Draft Measurement System
The Load and Draft measurement (LDM) has become an important part of efficient dredging process. The purpose of the LDM is to provide load reports to help owners better manage and document the dredging process on dredges.
LDM system supplies graphical and numerical information about the vessel’s draught, the load of the hopper, the position of the overflow and other related parameters which helps efficient management and documentation of the dredging process.
